Favorite Hikes in Phoenix, AZ

Phoenix , in my opinion, has got to be one of the most underestimated cities in the U.S. Most people either think of Desert, Heat and Cactus. Phoenix is loaded with some of the most magical mountains I have ever seen. Mind you, I have so many other places to see and explore, but Phoenix will always have my heart. Here are some of my favorite hikes I hope you get the opportunity to explore:

Camelback Mountain - Phoenix, AZ

  • Cholla trail - 1.50 miles & 1,420 ft in elevation change - Moderate/Difficult: A lot of up hill climbing and needing to use your hands to get up
  • Echo Trail - 1.2 mi & 1,400 ft in elevation change- Difficult: This hike contains A LOT of climbing, you may even need to use the pole to get up the mountain. If you haven't hiked Camelback before, I would recommend trying Cholla first - especially if you aren't an avid hiker
